Instant Pot Shrimp Broth
Make this delicious broth from the leftover shells and tails of shrimp! This broth adds a deeply rich flavor to our 'Instant Pot Shrimp With Pasta And Vegetables' and other recipes! If you save vegetable scraps feel free to use them in this recipe! The outer skins of onions help to give this broth it's dark color.
In the Instant Pot liner combine:
4 cups of shrimp shells and tails
1 onion halved including the outer skin, root end removed
A generous handful of celery
A generous handful of carrots
2 garlic cloves, unpeeled and halved
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Small splash of Raw Apple Cider Vinegar
4 1/2 to 5 cups of water
Place liner into Instant Pot. Lock lid and program on manual/high pressure for 60 minutes. Allow pressure to naturally release. Strain broth through a colander to separate solids from the broth. Yield: 4 to 4 1/2 cups of shrimp stock.
